Method

Cooking the Pasta

  3. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining the spaghetti. Set the cooked pasta aside.
Preparing the Bang Bang Sauce
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha. Whisk until smooth, then pour into the skillet with the shrimp, stirring well.
Combining Pasta and Sauce
  1. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet with the shrimp and sauce. Mix thoroughly to coat the pasta.
  2. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water for creaminess.
  3. Plate the pasta and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. When reheating, add a splash of cream or pasta water to maintain sauce consistency. Adjust spice levels by modifying the amount of sriracha.
