Method
Cooking the Pasta
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Preparing the Chicken
- Season the chicken breasts generously with Cajun seasoning on both sides. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add oil and sear the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Remove from skillet, let rest, and slice into strips.
Cooking the Shrimp
- In the same skillet, add more oil if necessary. Toss in the shrimp and season lightly with Cajun seasoning. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove from heat and set aside.
Making the Alfredo Sauce
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for about a minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and combined. Adjust seasonings as needed.
Combining Everything
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat evenly. Mix in the sliced chicken and shrimp, heating everything through.
Serving
- Garnish with fresh parsley or additional Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
Adjust seasoning to taste and consider marinating the chicken for additional flavor. Use fresh shrimp for the best texture.
