Wet Ingredients
  • 3 pieces ripe bananas, mashed The riper the better for sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Can substitute with dairy-free butter for a vegan option.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs Can substitute with flaxseed meal or applesauce for a vegan version.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Caramel Flavor
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce Swirled into the batter.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Add melted butter, both sugars, and eggs to the mashed bananas and mix in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet banana mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Drizzle in the salted caramel sauce and gently fold it into the batter.
  7. Grease a loaf pan and pour the batter evenly into it.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Cooling
  1. Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week. Freeze slices for longer storage.
