  • 1-2 tablespoons lime juice Optional, adds a zesty twist.
  • to taste sweetener of choice (honey, agave, or sugar) Optional, adjust sweetness according to preference.
Tools
  • 1 popsicle molds Silicone molds work best for easy removal.
  • 8 wooden sticks or popsicle sticks

Method

Preparation
  1. Cut your watermelon into cubes, making sure to remove any seeds.
  2. Place the watermelon cubes into a blender. If using lime juice or sweetener, add it in as well. Blend until completely smooth.
  3. Taste the blended mixture. If it’s not sweet enough for your liking, add a little more sweetener and blend again.
  4. Carefully pour the mixture into your popsicle molds, filling them about three-quarters full to allow for expansion.
  5. If your molds come with stick holders, insert them according to the instructions. If not, place the wooden sticks directly into the mixture.
  6. Put the molds in the freezer and let them freeze for at least 6 hours, or until they’re solid.
  7. To remove the popsicles, run the mold under warm water for a few seconds and gently pull on the sticks.

Notes

For variations, consider adding fresh mint, coconut milk, or other fruits. Store popsicles in an airtight container in the freezer for up to three months.
